6. Administrator logs
- Information about user behavior on the website may be subject to logging. These data are used for administering the website.
7. Important marketing techniques
- The Operator uses statistical analysis of website traffic via Google Analytics (Google Inc., based in the USA). The Operator does not transfer personal data to this service provider, only anonymized information. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user’s end device. Regarding information about user preferences collected by Google’s advertising network, the user may view and edit information resulting from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/
- The Operator uses remarketing techniques that allow advertising messages to be tailored to the user’s behavior on the site. This may create the impression that the user’s personal data is being tracked; however, in practice, no personal data is transferred by the Operator to advertising operators. A technological condition for such activities is enabled cookie support.
- The Operator uses the Facebook pixel. This technology enables Facebook (Facebook Inc., based in the USA) to know that a registered user is using the website. In this case, Facebook relies on data for which it is the controller, while the Operator does not transfer any additional personal data to Facebook. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user’s end device.
- The Operator uses solutions to analyze user behavior by creating heat maps and recording on-site behavior. This information is anonymized before it is sent to the service provider, so the provider does not know which individual it concerns. In particular, typed passwords and other personal data are not recorded.
- The Operator uses solutions that automate website operations with respect to users, e.g., sending an email to a user after visiting a specific subpage, provided that the user has consented to receive commercial correspondence from the Operator.
- The Operator may use profiling within the meaning of data protection regulations.
8. Information about cookies
- The website uses cookies.
- Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the end device of the Website User and are intended for use with the Website’s pages. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the duration of storage on the end device, and a unique number.
- The entity placing cookies on the Website User’s end device and accessing them is the Website operator.
- Cookies are used for the following purposes:
- maintaining the Website User’s session (after logging in), so that the user does not have to re-enter login and password on each subpage;
- achieving the purposes specified above in the “Important marketing techniques” section;
- Within the Website, two main types of cookies are used: “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. “Session” cookies are temporary files stored on the User’s end device until logging out, leaving the website, or closing the browser. “Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until deleted by the User.
- Web browsing software (web browser) usually allows cookies to be stored on the User’s end device by default. Website Users may change their settings in this respect. The web browser allows the deletion of cookies. It is also possible to automatically block cookies. Detailed information on this can be found in the help section or documentation of the web browser.
- Restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the Website.
- Cookies placed on the Website User’s end device may also be used by entities cooperating with the Website operator, in particular companies such as Google (Google Inc., based in the USA), Facebook (Facebook Inc., based in the USA), and Twitter (Twitter Inc., based in the USA).
9. Managing cookies – how to give and withdraw consent in practice?
